    Even though it's conducted by David's Bridal (ugh), I can't help but hope they got this statistic grossly wrong.

    I've never been the woman who's waited with bated breath to get married, and I'm fortunate to have parents who strongly encouraged their kids to get a real degree, not an M.R.S.  They did a lot to counteract a society where getting married and/or procreating are the only ways to validate your femininity.  It makes me sad to think that in this day and age, so many women clearly still believe such crap.

    Really, ladies (and gents):  if a day and a ceremony that is supposed to be about love and partnership is interrupted so you can update your facebook status, you need a lot of self-work before you're ready to head into such a serious commitment.  As for this author, I hope she's got a good therapist.  She has a lot of growing up to do.

    shrinkrapper   My brother Bill always said that there are two kinds of people, those who want to GET married and those who want to BE married. The Facebook addicts seem to be the first type. Sad, really.
